Privacy Policy for Yuce GPS Location Alarm

Yuce GPS Location Alarm, also known as Yuce Radius, is an Android application developed by Ahmet Yuşa Açıkalın. Its Android package name is com.yuce.radius.

This Privacy Policy explains how the application (“the App”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information, and describes the choices available to you.

1. Location Information and Background Location

The App accesses and uses precise device location to provide location-based alarms. When you create and enable an alarm, the App uses your location to detect whether you enter or leave the geographic area you selected and to trigger the corresponding alarm.

Location data is accessed and used in the background, including when the App is closed or not in use, so that enabled location alarms can function.

The App uses Google Play services for location and geofencing. Selected alarm coordinates, boundaries, and transition settings are provided to Google Play services to register and monitor your enabled alarms.

Location information is also used to:

The App stores the most recently recorded alarm-trigger location for use in the alarm interface. It does not maintain a continuous route or movement-history log.

Background location is used for the App’s alarm functionality. The developer does not use it for advertising, audience profiling, or marketing.

2. Physical Activity Recognition

The App uses Android’s physical activity recognition permission and Google Play services to detect transitions into movement, such as walking, running, cycling, or travelling in a vehicle.

While location alarms are enabled, a relevant movement event can initiate a short location check to determine whether an alarm boundary has been crossed. This supports alarm operation while limiting the need for continuous high-accuracy location requests.

These movement events are used for alarm functionality. The App does not create an exercise diary or fitness profile from them.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores information in local application storage, including:

The developer does not operate an application backend that receives uploads of your alarm database, saved quick locations, movement events, or location history.

Local storage does not mean that every feature operates entirely offline. Online maps, address lookup, Google Play services, and operating-system backup services may process information as described below.

4. Third-Party Services and Network Requests

The App uses external services to provide specific features.

Google Play services. These services provide device location, geofencing, and physical activity recognition. Information required for those functions is processed through Google Play services. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy .

OpenStreetMap and osmdroid. The App uses the osmdroid library to display map imagery from OpenStreetMap tile services. Requests for map tiles identify the geographic map area being displayed. The map service also receives network information such as your IP address and request details. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy .

Esri World Imagery. When satellite map imagery is selected, the App requests map tiles from Esri’s ArcGIS World Imagery service. Those requests identify the map area and zoom level being displayed and expose network information such as your IP address to the service. See the Esri Privacy Statement .

Android geocoding services. To display an address for a selected location, the App passes its coordinates to Android’s geocoding service. Depending on the device and service implementation, these coordinates may be sent to an external geocoding provider. Processing is subject to that provider’s privacy practices.

A displayed map area may correspond to your current position, a saved alarm, or a location you select manually.

If you open Google Play or an external website from the App, your interaction with that destination is also subject to its own privacy policy. Third-party services may retain information under their own policies; deleting local App data does not necessarily delete records held by those providers.

5. Advertising and Analytics

The current App does not include advertising SDKs, external analytics SDKs, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.

The developer does not sell personal information or use your location or movement information for targeted advertising.

The local usage-time counter described above is used to manage rating reminders. The App does not send that counter to a developer-operated analytics service.

6. Permissions and Your Choices

Depending on your Android version and the features you use, the App may request permissions or special access for:

The App also uses capabilities such as network access, vibration, foreground audio playback, and receiving device-restart or application-update events. Restart and update events allow it to restore registrations for enabled alarms, subject to the permissions available.

You can manage or revoke permissions in Android’s application settings. You can also disable or delete alarms within the App.

Revoking permissions required by the current App may disable active alarms or prevent alarm features from operating. Disabling alarms does not delete their saved settings or previously stored local information.

7. Data Retention, Deletion, and Backups

Saved alarms remain in local storage until you delete them, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Deleting an alarm also removes its associated description-history records from the local alarm database.

Saved quick locations are managed separately and can be deleted through the App’s quick-location settings.

Some operational records are stored separately from the alarm database. These include alarm-trigger timestamps and the most recently recorded alarm-trigger coordinates. Deleting an individual alarm does not currently guarantee removal of all such operational records. These records may remain until replaced during subsequent use or removed by clearing the App’s storage.

To remove the App’s local settings, saved locations, alarms, and operational records together, use Android’s Clear storage or Clear data option for the App. Clearing only the cache does not remove all saved application data.

Uninstalling the App normally removes its application-specific local storage. However, Android or your device manufacturer may back up or transfer application data, depending on your device settings. Previously backed-up data may be restored when the App is reinstalled or transferred to another device.

Backup retention and deletion are controlled through your operating system, device manufacturer, and backup provider. The developer cannot remotely access or delete your device’s local App storage or backup copies.

The App does not require creation of a developer-managed user account.

8. Feedback and Support Communications

If you choose to email the developer, the recipient receives your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you voluntarily include.

The App’s feedback feature opens your email application with a draft. Sending the message requires an action in your email application. The App does not automatically attach your alarm database or location records.

Support correspondence is used to respond to inquiries, investigate reported issues, and handle related follow-up. It is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of correspondence by contacting the developer.

Email delivery and storage also involve the relevant email providers and their privacy practices.

9. Data Security

The App uses Android’s application-specific storage and permission controls to limit access to locally stored information. Its alarm database is not intentionally exposed as a public resource.

The protection of your device, system backups, and external services also depends on the security settings and safeguards provided by their respective platforms. No device, storage method, or network service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You may contact the developer with questions about this policy or requests concerning information held by the developer, including support correspondence.

Where applicable law provides rights relating to your personal information, you may use the contact address below to exercise those rights.

For information stored only on your device, the local deletion controls described above provide the direct way to remove it. Requests concerning information independently held by a map, geocoding, backup, or email provider may also need to be directed to that provider.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the App’s features or information-handling practices change. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Any additional permission or consent required for a new use of information will be requested through the relevant application or system flow.
